Sheriff Ron Ward and Attorney General Jim Petro have provided a way for the citizens of Highland County to receive an automatic email message whenever any registered sex offender establishes a residence within one mile of their home.  By following the link below, any resident may sign up for this service, free of charge.  There are two other features available from this same link.  You can search for offenders by name or by city,  or by entering your address, receive a list with a map of all registered offenders within one mile.
